Objectives: The aim of the project supported by TUBITAK within the scope of Support Programme for Research and Development Projects of Public Institutions (KAMAG) 1007 coordinated by Ankara University, Institute of Science, Department of Real Estate Development is addressing all aspects of "acquisition of real estate by foreigners" which are of great importance about the foreigners and finding solutions to significant problems encountered in practice and are likely to occur in the coming years.
The Project consists of the sub-components of the analysis of acquisition of property of foreigners and Turkish citizens in some countries, historical development of foreign natural and legal persons' acquisition of property in Türkiye and comparative analysis of selected country examples, evaluation of the impact of acquisition of property by foreigners in Türkiye (study of impact assessment and normative analysis) development of administration's monitoring and evaluation infrastructure, development of a national strategy model for the acquisition of real estate by foreigners in Türkiye.
Project outcomes will provide guidance to decision makers and stakeholders, be beneficial for society and provide outcomes for action for practitioner organizations and allow information of national norms to be revealed by an objective research team.
